Grazr Reading List for Arts 2.0

October 27, 2007 by lenedgerly

I’ve been using a Grazr reading list to prepare for this presentation, collecting web sites and feeds that I hope will be useful to people interested in bringing new Internet tools to the arts sector. As I finished up, I imagined that many who attend the session will have their own stories to tell. So I’ve added a folder on the reading list titled “Suggested by Participants at 10/28/07 Session.” I’ll add links and feeds to this one during the session, so we’ll all have a more complete list of possibilities.

I will continue to update this Arts 2.0 Grazr reading list after PodCamp Boston 2, so if you have items you’d like me to add to it, please e-mail them to me at LenEdgerly@gmail.com .

The Purpose of this Presentation

October 26, 2007 by lenedgerly

I would like everyone to leave this presentation with at least two Next Actions that will help an arts organization or artist do something new, fun, and useful with the Internet.

I will give examples of how Internet tools are being used in the arts in four areas: new media, social networks, mobile, and virtual worlds.  I hope that audience members will have lots of other case studies to add, so that each of us will learn new ways to advance the arts with technology.

As you leave the room, I’d like you to know which arts organization (a state arts agency, a museum, a music group, etc.) or artist you plan to propose two Next Actions for, and what those actions will be.

If you have ideas, please leave them here in the comments. As I make final preparations for my presentation, I’ll add specifics here.
